Moorcroft bowl in the pattern known as Revived Cornflower, or Brown Chrysanthemum, circa 1913-14. The red flowers are shown against a mottled green ground with overall scroll designs on the underside.
In August of 1913 Moorcroft moved to his new factory location at Cobridge, near Burslem. This style of William Moorcroft’s painted signature (usually but not always with a date) is from the short period of October 1913 to January 1914. There is a small impressed number 4 at the upper right of the letter t in Moorcroft’s signature which is the shape number.
