Moorcroft vase in the Waving Corn pattern, circa 1935.
The 1930s brought about design changes to Moorcroft pottery; the fashion of the day being more appreciative of simpler patterns, lighter colours and matte glazes. Waving Corn is one of the patterns introduced to cater to the design attitudes of the times.
The impressed factory mark and the painted signature of William Moorcroft are on the bottom of the vase.
14 5/8” (37.2cm) high, 7 1/2” (19.1cm) diameter at the base.
