Mid-Century Modern Gustavsberg Argenta Line Stoneware Bud Vase

Product Details

Mid-Century Modern Gustavsberg Argenta line stoneware bud vase with lily of the valley in silver overlay.  Designed by Wilhelm Kage for Gustavsberg, Sweden, circa 1940s.

The finish is applied by sponge with several layers of green glazing made from copper dioxide and decorated by brushwork with melted silver.  After firing the silver work is polished, leaving it slightly raised, adding to the three dimensional look and feel.
