Moorcroft pedestal bowl in the Claremont pattern, circa 1921-25. The toadstool design, introduced in 1904 and named Claremont by Liberty & Co. remained in production for nearly 40 years.
The bowl is decorated with tube lined mushrooms in coloured glazes on a graduated green to teal blue ground. The impressed factory mark and the painted signature of William Moorcroft are on the bottom of the vase.
The silver plate base was produced by William Hutton & Sons Ltd of Sheffield England.
7” (17.8cm) diameter, 3” (7.6cm) high including pedestal.
