Victorian ironstone milk pail with brass hinged cover and ladle.

Light blue transfer ware scene of an idyllic farm scene, English, 19th century.  

Identified by size on the bottom 16-qts (quarts).

The pail is in excellent condition; no chips or cracks.

The pail is 15 1/2” (39.4cm) diameter, 15” (38.1cm) high to the top of the hinged cover.

The ladle is 18 1/2” (47cm) long.

In total, the pail and ladle weigh approx. 17 pounds (7.7kg)
