About Cynthia Findlay Fine Jewellery & Antiques

Coming from a family of fifth-generation retailers and having worked at Royal Doulton of Canada as the developer of its Marketing and PR department, it’s no wonder Cynthia Findlay ended up in the antique business.

When it was established in 1978, the business began as a small picnic table display at the original Harbourfront Antique Market location at 222 Queens Quay West in Toronto. When the market moved to 390 Queens Quay West in the mid-1980s, Cynthia Findlay moved with it. In early 2003, the Harbourfront Antique Market closed, and a group of dealers, including Cynthia, joined the Toronto Antique Centre, now called Toronto Antiques on King.

In 2006, Cynthia Findlay began managing the multi-dealer complex until the spring of 2009, when she moved next door to 284 King Street West as the primary dealer in the historic Anderson Building, located between the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra theatres.
