Antique 833 Fine Silver repousse tea caddy from the Netherlands, dated 1883, made by the silversmith Cornelius Rietveld Schoonhoven 1865-1912.  

The rectangular tea caddy is elaborately decorated on all four sides with different scenes, depictiing people at harvest time, frames against Rococo style scrolls agaisnt a stippled background.  The tea caddy is stamped with the punch of a lion over the number 2 in a hexagon, the Dutch mark for 833 Fine Silver, the date letter for 1883 and the trademark of Schoonhoven.

The tea caddy is not monogrammed or engraved.

4 3/4” (12cm) high, 3” (7.6cm) by 2 1/8” (5.4cm).
