Antique silvered bronzes of Iris and Apollo, unmarked, French 19th century.

The Greek goddess Iris, (a messenger of Hera) is typically shown holding a caduceus, a short staff entwined by two serpents and often surmounted by wings. 

The caduceus is missing one of the wings.

(The Roman equivalent of Iris is Arcus)

The Greek/Roman god Apollo is shown holding a laurel wreath, one of his main symbols.  The wreath is a sign of victory or achievement.  Apollo is one of the few Greek gods for which the Romans kept the same name.
