Art Deco Duncan Miller “Rocket” glass vase, circa 1930*.  The vase is very dark black amethyst glass with matte gilding on the rim and the tripod support risers, giving the appearance of a rocket blasting off into space. The vase in very good condition.

9 1/8” (23.2cm) high, 5 3/4” (14.6cm) diameter at the rim.

*George A. Miller & Sons Glass was established in 1865, moving to Washington, Pennsylvania in 1900 and renamed Duncan Miller with the addition of partner John Ernest Miller.  The company existed until 1955.
