Art Deco French art pottery dresser box in mottled blues and greens, mounted in a bronze frame, circa 1920. Unsigned work of Paul Milet (1870-1950) who worked in Sevres, and had an exhibition room at 25 rue de Paradis in Paris.
The bronze frame is stamped France on the underside.
6” (15.2cm) by 5” (12.7cm), 3” (7.6cm) high.
At the 1900 Universal Exhibition, (1900 Paris Exposition) he obtained a gold medal for his earthenware "of pleasant shapes, decorated by the most diverse processes, cloisonné enamels, enamels on gold spangles. In all these decorations, made from good drawings, Paul Milet discerningly uses the rich palette of enamels that he masters. "
