Product Description

Art Deco Shelley “Red Blocks” pattern, Vogue shape bone china teacup and saucer.  Pattern # 11786, designed in 1930 by Eric Slater, the Art Director of Shelley Potteries. The design was an aesthetic success but it was only made in 1930/31; the solid triangular handle was not a popular shape to hold.

The teacup and saucer is in excellent condition.

The teacup is 2 1/2” (6.4cm) high, 3 7/8” (9.9cm) diameter.

The saucer is 5 3/8” (13.7cm) diameter.

$595.

The V & A South Kensington location has an example of this pattern on display, Ceramics Room 143, highlighting excellence in English Art Deco ceramics design.
