Art Deco Sterling silver figural rooster sugar castor, Tostrup, Norway.

Designed by Oscar Sorensen (1898-1987) for Jacob Tostrup (1806-1890), established in 1831.  J. Tostrup was a multi-generational silver company.

This whimsical design features a bayonet style closure on the claw feet to fill the sugar castor, with the beak being the opening.
