Art glass, jardiniere in gilt metal frame, attributed to Austria, circa 1890.  The satin finished glass insert has a naturalistic and asymmetrical internal wave movement.

The gilt metal frame is decorated with symmetrical festoons of leaves hanging below laurel wreaths; one or three wreaths on alternating sides.

6 1/4” (15.9cm) high, 6 1/2” (16.5cm) square.
