Product Description

English Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame, hallmarked Birmingham 1904.  Made by the silversmith firm of Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes) of Vyse Street, Birmingham, England, in business circa 1897-1949.  The stunning picture frame is decorated with organic motifs of water lilies and vines and textured to emulate bubbles and waves.  There is a central blank cartouche at the top, suitable for a monogram or engraved message.  The original leather back is intact and shows minor wear only, consistent with age and use.

The overall dimensions are 8 1/2” ((21.5cm) high, 6 5/8” (16.8cm) wide.

The internal dimensions are 5 1/2” (14cm) by 3 7/8” (9.8cm).
