Rare Aynsley Fruit pattern bone china teacup and saucer.   The colour and pattern combination is unusual; most Fruit pattern Aynsley teacups and saucers depict the fruit against a neutral or gold ground, not directly on a bright colour.  

In brilliant robin’s egg blue; both teacup and saucer are signed D. Jones (Doris Jones, active 1938-69). 

The teacup is 2 3/8” (6cm) high, 4 1/8’ (10.5cm) diameter.

The saucer is 5 3/4” (14.6cm) diameter.
