Vintage Beswick figure of a baby giraffe, model # 853.  Modelled by Arthur Gredington* and made circa 1940-75.

7” (17.8cm) high, 4” (10.2cm) by 2 1/4” (5.7cm) at the feet.

* Arthur Noel Gredington (1903-71) was the first resident modeller employed by Beswick, starting his career at Beswick in 1939.  Gredington was a leading animal modeller of the 20th century, creating approximately 400 animal figures for Beswick, as well as collaborating on another 400.
