Stunning sterling silver hip flask, made by Birks Brothers of Montreal. This generously proportioned flask features bands of engine turned engraving on the front with a blank space left for a monogram. It is very unusual to find vintage flasks without monograms or presentation engravings. The flask has a 16oz volume and has a domed hinged cover with a bayonet fitting. Marked BIRKS STERLING with their date letter M for 1947. The flask is in very fine condition. 7 3/4” (19.7cm) by 5” (12.7cm), 1 1/4” (3.2cm) depth, allowing for the curved shape. 399.8 grams.
