Art Nouveau Bretby * art pottery vase, “Clanta” pattern, circa 1910-20.  The Clanta pattern was finished with a bronze patination and glazed cabochon turquoise “jewels”.  Impressed marks on the bottom include the sunburst logo over BRETBY, MADE IN ENGLAND and 1620.

The vase is in overall good condition, with one of the jewels having been restored.

8 1/4” (21cm) high, 4 1/2” (11.4cm) diameter.

$695, condition noted.

 

* The Bretby Art Pottery  Studio was established in Derbyshire, England in 1882.
