Copper and glass medallion pendant necklaces, made by Toronto jewellery designer Rafael Alfandary.  Born in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia), he emigrated to Canada in 1970.  Through the 1970s his jewellery was worn by a wide variety of notable personalities, including Margaret Trudeau, Muhammad Ali, Lorne Green, Redd Foxx, Paul Anka and later, the singer Prince.  Rafael created the crown for the Miss Canada Beauty Contest in 1973. 

Left to right:

1. Necklace only is 24” (61cm) long, 

the pendant with bezel set amethyst glass beads and fringe is 3 7/8” (9.8cm) wide by 4 1/4” (10.8cm) long.

2.  Necklace only is 30” (76.2cm) long, 

the pendant with a bezel set clear glass bead is 1 3/4” (4.5cm) wide by 2 1/4” (5.7cm) long.

3. Necklace only is 29” (73.6cm) long,

the pendant with a bezel set orange glass bead and fringe is 1 1/2” (3.9cm) wide by 4” (10.2cm) long.
