Czech Art Deco amethyst coloured cut glass decanter and glasses on matching tray, circa 1930s. The glass is cut in the manner of Josef Hoffmann. Six of the eight pieces are marked Czechoslovakia on the base in acid etching. The cone shaped decanter has a simple hexagonal rod stopper, and the matching shot glasses are in a reversed cone shape with a thick base for stability. The tray is reverse painted on black glass, in a brass frame. The decanter is 7 1/2” (19cm) high, 5 1/2” (14cm) diameter at the base. The glasses are 2 3/8” (6cm) high, 1 7/8” (4.7cm) diameter at the rim. The tray is 13 1/4” (33.6cm) by 8 3/4” (22.3cm). $2200 for the set.
