German Porcelain Green Woodpecker by Karl Ens circa 1930

Antique German porcelain figure of a green woodpecker, made by Karl Ens Porzellanfabrik of Volkstedt, Thuringia, Germany, circa 1930.  Trademarked stamped with the logo used circa 1919-45; ENS in a stylized windmill in green and impressed with the numbers 24 and 6680, the design / model numbers.  The woodpecker is hand painted in fresh grassy greens and pink, perched on a white tree stump.  There is the tiniest chip on the underside of the base, not noticeable without it being identified.

9” (22.9cm) high, 4 3/4” (12.1cm) diameter at the widest.
