Neue Porzellanfabrik Tettau Polar Bear

Art Deco German porcelain polar bear, made by Neue Porzellanfabrik Tettau. Neue Porzellanfabrik (Porcelain) was established in Tettau, Bavaria, Germany in 1904, existing under evolving partnerships and name changes until 1997.  This particular green stamped trademark of a signet above NEUE TETTAU BAVARIA was used in the time period 1929-1937 only.

The design is attributed to Karl Tutter  (1883-1969) who went on to model many figures for Hutschenreuther in the 1920s and 30s.  

The polar bear is in pristine condition!

7 1/2” (19cm) high, 6 1/4” (15.9cm) at the widest.
