Art Deco Verrex / Schneider Art Glass Vase circa 1930

Product Details

Art Deco vase with acid etched decoration in a geometric pattern, made in France, circa 1930.  Smoky quartz in colour with a translucent relief on a partially stippled background.  Signed near the base VERREX and etched Made in France on the bottom.

Verrex was one of the trade names used by the Schneider Glassworks, along with Le Verre Francais and Charder.  The vase is in very good condition, with very minor scratches on the base, consistent with age and use.

8” (20.3cm) high, 9 1/4” (22.5cm) diameter at the widest.
