Art Deco R. Lalique “Veronique” (Veronica) bowl, model # 397, designed in 1928.  The shallow bowl is decorated with three veronica * blooms, radiating out from the center in clear to opalescent glass.  Signed near the rim in block letters:  R. LALIQUE France, dating it between 1928 and 1945.

The surface of the bowl has minor scratches and a small impact mark on the rim.  Wear consistent with age and use.

8 1/2” (21.6cm) diameter, 2 1/4” (5.7cm) high.

$1495 condition noted.

* Veronique/Veronica is also called Speedwell or Gypsyweed.  It is part of the snapdragon family and has small, blue cone shaped blossoms.
