Lino Tagliapietra Lavender Art Glass Vase

Murano blown glass vase, attributed to Lino Tagliapietra (born 1934).  Tagliapietra is a Venice born glass blower who has worked in both Italy and the USA.  The vase is 

in a most unusual colour of lavender, subtle in colour at the base and gradually darker up to the rolled rim, a characteristic design trait of Tagliapietra’s work of the early to mid 1980s.  The base shows a faint remnant of a signature.

10 7/8” (27.6cm) high, 5 1/2” (14cm) diameter at the widest.
