Zanetti Murano Glass Fish

Murano glass fish sculpture, by Licio Zanetti of Zanetti Murano *.  The body of the fish is so very heavily saturated with fine gold dust that it appears as a solid colour without closer inspection.  The simple but monumental scale of the fish is balanced on a clear glass orb base.

The etched signature “Zanetti L” on the underside of the vase and the original paper label is intact.

17 1/4” (43.8cm) high, 14” (35.6cm) across, 4 1/2” (11.5cm) diameter of the ball/base.

* Zanetti Murano is a family run glass business, established by Licio Zanetti in 1956 and now in the 4th generation of glass designers and blowers.

Used in “Priscilla”, the feature film directed by Sofia Coppola, based on the memoir “Elvis and Me”, written by Priscilla Presley.  

The film was shot in Toronto, October-December 2022.

The world premiere was at the Venice Film Festival, September 4, 2023.  

The North American premiere will be at the New York Film Festival October 6, 2023, with expected wide release in North America in late October, 2023.
