Verlys frosted art glass bowl, Wheat / Tassels pattern.  The pattern is alternatively referred to as Wheat or Tassels.  Signed with an etched signature on the base:  Verlys.  Verlys of America, circa 1950.

* Verlys was a French art glass company that opened an American location in Newark, Ohio in 1935.  The Ohio location ceased production in the early 1950s.  In the mid-1950s the molds were leased to Heisey for a few years and in 1966 the molds were sold to Fenton Art Glass.

Verlys made in France has a molded signature.

Verlys made in the USA has an etched signature, as is the case with this example.
