Antique Apothecary Jars

Product Details

Antique porcelain apothecary jars, Paris Porcelain, mid-19th century.

Left to right:

1.  SAL. SALERAT. (possibly a medicine to control sweating?) 10” (25.4cm) high, 4 1/4” (10.8cm) diameter, $595.

2.  SACCH:  CRYST:  10 3/4” (27.3cm) high, 4 1/2” (11.5cm) diameter, $365 A/F.

3.  AZUL.DE PRUSIA.  (blue of Prussia, used as an antidote for heavy metal poisoning) 10” (25.4cm) high, 4 1/4” (10.8cm) diameter, $595.

The apothecary jars have wear to the gilding; wear consistent with age and use.

Number 2 has fine hairline cracks.
