Product Details
Art Nouveau earthenware umbrella stand, made in Belgium, circa 1900. The stand has a repeating scene of a woman holding an umbrella standing between two trees. The vertical dashs of blue suggest that she is in heavy rain. The figural relief of the woman is repeated, but in three colour combinations of cloak and dress.
The impressed marks on the base are 540 and Made in Belgium, in a circle.
There are minor chips to the rim, wear consistent with age and use.
22 3/4” (57.8cm) high, 10” (25.4cm) diameter at the widest.
