Art Deco ceramic vase, made by Canadian Potteries Limited of St. John’s Quebec, (Saint-Jean-sur-Richlieu), circa 1940 *. The gently graduated rectangular vase is architectural in design, reminiscent of industrial smokestacks.  

9 3/4” (24.8cm) high, 5 1/2” (14cm) wide by 3 3/4” (9.5cm) deep.

* A version of this vase in blue is represented in the collections of the Musee National des Beaux-Arts Du Quebec, in the Modern / Decorative Arts of Quebec, 1900-50.
