Carlton Ware Rouge Royale New Mikado Vase

Carlton Ware around royale “New Mikado” vase, pattern # 2727.  The pattern was first released in 1923 and made into the early 1950’s.  Elaborately hand painted with polychrome enamel depictions of Japanese style temples, bridges and figures against a red ground with high lustre.  The highlights, rim and handles are gilded.

Stamped Carlton Ware “Rouge Royale” and impressed with the mark 1693K which is the shape number.

The vase is in very good condition.

10” (25.4cm) high, 9 1/2” (24.1cm) across the handles.
