Continental Hand Painted Porcelain Cup

Charming Continental hard paste porcelain oversized cup.  Beautifully hand painted cup depicting playful children in 18th fashion clothing tumbling over trunks with ships in a harbour in the background.  

The cup is unmarked and estimated to be circa 1830-50.

The painting is in pristine condition and there is minor wear to the gilding on the rim, consistent with age and use.  The handle has a firing crack, original to the production.

4” (10.2cm) high, 3 7/8” (9.8cm) diameter at the rim.
