Monumental Earthenware Amphora Vase

Monumental earthenware Amphora vase, rising from three scrolled leaf supports, terminating with claw feet on a shaped triangular base.

The main body of the vase is decorated in a alternating diagonal panels of dragons and scrolling vines with lion heads, against Imperial yellow and oxblood red ground, with gilded outlining throughout.

The only visible trademark is an impressed mark on the base, possibly C H I.  

Attributed to France, 1880-1900.  

This remarkable vase is large enough to be used for an umbrella or cane stand.  

This sensational vase is in excellent condition!
