Rosenthal Porcelain Ming Dragon Vase

Rosenthal porcelain vase “Ming Dragon” pattern, designed in the 1920’s by Hans Schiffner.  The trumpet shaped vase features a repeating dragon motif in gilded outline against a rich orange ground.  The gilded band of foliate in high relief at the base matches the gilded band on the inside of the rim.

The vase is trademarked Decor Rosenthal-Rot (Rosenthal Red), the traditional colour of iron oxide red, which is closer to orange.

11” (28cm) high, 10” (25.4cm) diameter at the rim.
