Victorian Doulton Burslem pedestal bowl, “Gloire de Dijon” pattern, circa 1897-1901.
The center of the bowl is transfer decorated in light blues depicting rose bushes. The rim is decorated both inside and out with a wide banner of an Imari inspired pattern in cobalt blues and iron oxide reds, framed with narrow bands of forest green and gilding.
The English registration number 307815 dates the design to 1897. Doulton was given a Royal Warrant in 1901 becoming Royal Doulton, dating this piece to 1897-1901.
The bowl is in beautiful condition!
