Antique Satsuma ginger jar and cover, showing three scenes of multiple chrysanthemum blooms, with heavy gilding.  Japanese Meiji period, 1868-1912.

The cover has been repaired, noticeable only from the interior.

7” (17.8cm) high, 6 1/2” (16.5cm) diameter.
