Scheurich Fat Lava West German floor vase, featuring striking black horizontal bands of moulten lava all the way around the fire engine red vase.  

Made by Scheurich Keramik, circa 1960s.

The original paper label is intact:  Scheurich  europ linie.

Marked in relief on the bottom:  546 over 40.

15 1/2” (39cm) high, 8 3/4” (22.2cm) diameter.
