Victorian Flow Blue & Hand Painted Ironstone Pitcher

Victorian flow blue jug / pitcher, with hand painted flowers and a personalized presentation on a moulded body.  The naturalistic handle is formed as interwoven vines.

The message on the pitcher is Mr. John Twinton, West Anstruther, 1853.

The pitcher does have an old repair; a small hole filled in the lower body.  Wear consistent with age and use.

9” (22.8cm) high, 5” (12.7cm) diameter at the widest.
