Rare Wedgwood “Hibiscus” Pattern Transfer Ware Platter

Rare Wedgwood “Hibiscus” pattern double-ended well and tree blue and white transfer ware platter.  The pattern was engraved for Wedgwood by William Hales, introduced circa 1806/7.  The design is of hibiscus flowers radiating from a central oval with geometrical borders interspersed with four panels of Oriental towers.

16 1/4” (41.3cm) by 12 1/4” (31.1cm), 2” (5.1cm) deep.
