One handle has the original monogram in script; MRV.
This oversize quaich was likely a bespoke item, made by luxury silversmiths and jewellers Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh, established in 1866. Hamilton & Inches have held Royal Warrants for more then a century, and were appointed a Royal Warrant in 2010 for “Silversmiths and Clock Specialists to HM The Queen.”
6 1/4” (16cm) diameter, 10 1/8” (25.7cm) across the handles, 3” (7.6cm) high.
