Antique Biedermeier amethyst glass goblet with gilding depicting a domestic family scene.  Depicted is a lady busy with her handwork while children play with twirling hoops and the dog, on a 12-sided (dodecagon) goblet.  Continental European, 19th century.  

Minor wear only to the gilding, consistent with age and use.

6 1/4” (15.9cm) high, 3 1/2” (8.9cm) diameter.

Biedermeier was a simplified classical style that evolved in the German states circa 1815-48 that extended into Scandinavia and the Austro-Hungarian empire.
