Vintage Multi-Coloured Crystal Josephinenhutte Wine Goblets

Vintage multi-coloured crystal wine goblets, made by Josephinenhutte (Josephine Glassworks) * circa 1950s.  The set of 9 goblets have coloured bowls, cut to clear with a 3/4” (2cm) wide gilded rim featuring a frieze of dancing cherubs and roses, rising from a hexagonal cut stem on a starburst cut pedestal foot.  The set has 2 each of amber yellow, cobalt blue, emerald green and 1 each of cranberry, purple and black.  The etched Josephinenhutte trademark is clearly visible on three of the goblets.

8 1/4” (21cm) high, 2 1/2” (6.4cm) diameter at the rim.

* Josephinenhutte (Josephine Glassworks) was established in 1842 in Silesia, most of which is in present day Poland.  The area has been part of Czechoslovakia, Germany and Poland throughout central Europe’s 20th century’s shifting borders.  The company thrived until after WWII, closing in the 1950s.  It was reopened in 2019, now producing clear crystal wine glasses.
