Antique Dutch Blown Glass Decanter With Ribbon & Engraved Designs

Antique hand blown glass decanter with a long neck and two handles, Netherlands, late 19th century.  The shape and style of the decanter is referred to as a “Dutch” jug, typical of the late 18th century.  In this case, the style of the etching dating it mid to late 19th century.  The body is decorated with 8 vertical glass ribbons and etched with alternating panels of grape & vine and bird motifs.  The decanter is in good condition, with one small internal crack 3/4” long.  Wear consistent with age and use.

9 1/2” (24.1cm) high, 6” (15.2cm) diameter at the widest.
