Art Nouveau Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Claret Jug

Art Nouveau cut crystal claret jug with sterling silver topped stopper, American, circa 1910.  The octagonal crystal claret jug is cut and etched depicting a trumpet orchid in bloom, with the stem and leaves circling the body.  The top of the stopper is monogrammed in script,  “ACP”, “A Certain Person”.

The stopper has one of the trademarks used by International Silver Company, a knight’s helmet over a shield bearing the letter S.  Also impressed  with the design number C2317. 

9 1/2” (24.1cm) high, 6 1/2” (16.5cm) diameter at the widest.

Condition:  Good overall, with the stopper having minor dents in the silver and a tiny nic.
