Art Nouveau Silver Overlay water pitcher, made by the Alvin-Beiderhase Silver Company * of Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1900.  The silver overlay is an overall floral scroll and vine pattern, framing a small asymmetrical cartouche underneath the spout that is suitable for a monogram or presentation engraving.  The pitcher is in excellent condition.

Trademarked at the base:  STERLING, the Alvin logo, D127238

7 3/4” (19.7cm) high, 4 3/4” (12cm) diameter at the base.

* The company’s name evolved over time from Alvin Manufacturing (established 1886),Alvin-Beiderhase Silver company, Alvin Silver Co to Alvin Corporation by 1928.
