Mappin & Webb Tantalus

Product Details

Antique silver plate tantalus with the original fitted cut crystal decanters.  Made by Mappin & Webb of London and Sheffield, England, circa 1880-1900.  The three decanters are in  very good condition, with the frame showing wear to the silver plating, what some would refer to as the “copper bleeding” through.  The lock is in good working order, with the original key.

The frame is 13 1/2” (34.3cm) long by 5 1/4” (13.4cm), 11 1/4” (28.5cm) high.

The decanters are 8 1/2” (21.5cm) high,  3 3/8” (8.6cm) square.
