Antique 800 Fine Silver jewellery box, from the silversmith firm of Storck & Sinsheimer, Hanau, Germany.  The firm of Storck & Sinsheimer (Jacob Storck & Louis Sinsheimer) was active 1874-1926.  The elaborately decorated box has putti / cherubs playing on the cover and all four sides.  In the tradition of Hanau silversmiths, the box is reminiscent of much earlier styles, in this case the box honours Baroque art.  The box is in very good condition and the gold washed interior is bright.
