Victorian Era Whimsical Figural Silver Plate Ice Bucket With Fox Handle

Product Details

Victorian era whimsical figural silver plate ice bucket with fox handle, American, circa 1880-1900.  Upon looking closely, the fox is in the henhouse as it has a chicken in its claws.  The bucket is formed in the manner of a wood bucket, complete with textured vertical slats and horizontal banding.

Made by the silversmith firm of Reed & Barton of Taunton, Mass.

5” (12.7cm) high, 9” (22.9cm) high to the top of the handle,

5 1/2” (14cm) diameter at the rim.
