Mappin & Webb Victorian Sterling Silver Goblet, Hallmarked London 1874

Product Details

Unusually large Victorian sterling silver goblet.  Hallmarked London 1874, made by the silversmith company of Mappin & Webb (John Newton Mappin & George Webb).  This particular trademark was used by Mappin & Webb 1867-1877.

The bowl of the cup is decorated with garlands in repousse work.  The rim and the foot of the cup are decorated with a band of roundels reminiscent of renaissance designs.

11 1/2” (29.2cm) high, 6 1/4” (16cm) diameter at the lip.
