English silver plate biscuit barrel, circa 1900.  “Capital” is one of the trademarks used by the silversmiths Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. Ltd. of Sheffield, England.

Originally for English tea biscuits, the barrel could also house your favourite tea, or provide an elegant solution to where to put an extra roll of toilet paper in a guest bathroom.
